What TWRAR and this website collect (almost nothing) and why.
The Engine (the desktop app)
TWRAR's Engine runs entirely on your own machine. It does not phone
home, collect analytics, create an account, or send your recorded
steps, YAML profiles, scrape results, or reports anywhere. Any
credentials referenced in a config via ${env:VAR_NAME}
stay on your machine, read from your own environment variables.
Local settings (browser channel, disclaimer acknowledgment, last config path) are stored in a per-user app-data folder on your machine, not shared with anyone.
This website
This site is static and hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may log standard request metadata (IP address, user agent) as part of hosting it - we don't have access to that beyond what GitHub itself provides, and we don't add any analytics, trackers, or ad scripts of our own.
The only thing this site stores in your browser is a single
localStorage key remembering your light/dark theme
preference - see the Cookies Policy.
